Friend & Sibling Requests

At CCC Upward Flag Football, we strive to create balanced teams using a set of questions during registration. Parents/guardians are asked to answer these questions as objectively as possible, based on how their child/teen would perform in a recreational setting.

While our system isn't perfect, it helps us draft teams with similar skill levels. Some teams may still win more games than others, and that’s okay.

We value friendships and will do our best to honor one friend request per child. However, we cannot accommodate:

  • Requests involving different grades

  • Requests across genders

  • Conflicting practice night preferences

To increase the likelihood of a friend request being honored, make sure both parents enter matching requests during registration.

Please remember: our league is organized by grade level, not age.

We cannot honor multiple friend requests for one team.

Practice Night Exclusions

Practice nights are held on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. We can honor one practice night exclusion per player, but cannot accept requests for specific times.

If a friend request conflicts with a practice night exclusion, the exclusion takes priority.

If you have multiple children in the league, please note:

  • We cannot guarantee the same practice night for siblings

After registration closes, our team will take 14 days to process all requests and assign teams. You’ll then receive your child’s:

  • Team name

  • Practice day and time

  • Coach info

  • Season schedule

All of this will be communicated via text and email. Once teams are set, no changes can be made due to league size and logistics.
