Our DNA

Discover the CCC DNA

01

We are all for jesus

We are all for Jesus

Jesus saves us from our past, remakes us to be like him, heals our broken places, and is coming back as our king.

02

WE ARE EMPOWERED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT

WE ARE EMPOWERED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit within us enables us to live life beyond belief—a life filled with joy, purpose, and power. We live in a supernatural reality that includes yet transcends the physical universe.

03

WE ENCOUNTER THE FATHER DAILY

WE ENCOUNTER THE FATHER DAILY

God the Father speaks to us through the Bible and we commune with him through prayer.

04

WE DO LIFE TOGETHER

WE DO LIFE TOGETHER

“Community” is our middle name. Every person of every generation is wanted, needed, and known. And there’s always room for one more.

05

WE ARE CONTRIBUTORS, NOT CONSUMERS

WE ARE CONTRIBUTORS, NOT CONSUMERS

We do not attend church, we are the Church, and we exist in and for the world.

06

WE BRING THE BEST NEWS EVER TO THE LEAST-REACHED PEOPLE

WE BRING THE BEST NEWS EVER TO THE LEAST-REACHED PEOPLE

It is our privilege to take the gospel around the world. We focus on the hardest places in the world where all the odds are stacked against us.

07

WE ARE OUTRAGEOUSLY GENEROUS

WE ARE OUTRAGEOUSLY GENEROUS

We are most like God when we are generous. It’s all God’s anyway.

08

WE ARE ON MISSION TO REACH ONE MORE

WE ARE ON MISSION TO REACH ONE MORE

Every person matters to God, so every person matters to us. God invites every one of us to join him in his great mission to reach one more—one more coworker, neighbor, family member, and friend.

Statement of faith

CCC is a proud member of the Christian & Missionary Alliance. The Alliance is an Acts 1:8 family whose mission is to know Jesus Christ as Savior, Sanctifier, Healer, and Coming King and to complete His Great Commission.

01

JEsus

Jesus is fully God and fully man.

02

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit lives within all believers to teach, empower, and guide.

03

The Bible

The Bible is the trustworthy and true communication from God.

04

FORGIVENESS OF SINS

The forgiveness of sins was purchased once and for all by Jesus’ death on the cross.

05

NEW LIFE

New life today and forever is assured by Jesus’ bodily resurrection from the dead for all who wholeheartedly trust in his death and resurrection.

06

Vision & Discipleship

REach one More

Reach One More is an evangelistic initiative centered around our DNA value of reaching one more and advancing God’s Kingdom one life at a time. Together, we can reach one more friend, coworker, or family member. Together, we can reach one more neighbor living in our city and one more unreached person living in another nation.

LEadership

Meet the CCC Leadership Team

The CCC Governing Board of Elders is a team of men and women who provide leadership to the church. Learn more about the team and CCC’s Lead Minister Mark Ashton

Mark Ashton

LEad Minister

Mark Ashton is an ordinary guy who serves an extraordinary God. Originally from Glendale Heights, IL, Mark’s heart was captured by Jesus at 18 at the University of Illinois, where he also met his sweetheart Kelle on his second day and married her before graduation. Together, they’ve raised four phenomenal children: Caleb, Caysie, Josiah, and Haiven. Mark treasures time playing with his kids, watching sci-fi movies, biking long distances, coaching volleyball, golfing (poorly but enthusiastically), barbecuing, and painting. He’s also a proficient juggler with a deep love for Portillo’s, Chipotle, and Giordano’s Pizza.

Mark has the joy of serving as Lead Minister of Christ Community Church, a Christian and Missionary Alliance church in Omaha, Nebraska, where about 3,000 people gather weekly. Since joining CCC on April 1, 2006, he’s been blessed to lead alongside a remarkable staff of 50 in a multi-venue environment. His ministry journey includes meaningful seasons as Pastor of Spiritual Discovery at Willow Creek Community Church and as an Evangelism Specialist for InterVarsity Fellowship. Mark is honored to serve as Chairman of the Board for the Christian and Missionary Alliance and as the founding pastor of Within Reach and CityCare Counseling. He holds two Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Illinois and has been shaped by graduate work at four seminaries.

Mark’s greatest privilege is sharing Jesus’ love and truth at universities, churches, and conferences across the nation. He’s been humbled to teach leaders and lead mission trips in fifteen countries on six continents. The project closest to his heart is the Hospital for Women and Children in West Africa, where over 20,000 babies have been safely welcomed into the world since 2006. Mark had the honor of leading CCC to raise over two million dollars to bring hope and healing to women and children in one of the world’s most challenging places. His passion for evangelism, outward-focused churches, and church leadership has touched lives globally, with his messages reaching over 100,000 people annually in 104 countries.
