FIVE WISHES
If you become unable to speak for yourself due to a medical condition or an accident, who would you want to speak for you, and what you want them to say? In Nebraska, adults nineteen years and older can legally make those designations. Five Wishes is a legal document that facilitates the execution of a Healthcare Power of Attorney (the people who will speak for you) and a Living Will (what you want them to say).
This presentation will teach you how to choose these people and create legal documents. You will:
Receive the Five Wishes workbook and instructions for proper legal use.
Know the questions to ask in selecting the right person(s) to speak for you and when they assume that role.
Select the choices that are important to you in your healthcare, including how you want to be treated physically and spiritually if your health declines.
Learn when and how to update the information, who should receive it, and how to distribute it best.
It is never too soon to engage in this process. Please bring your family to have the conversations together. Adults 19+ are encouraged to participate.
Five Wishes | April 27 | 12:15–2 PM | Room D126
MY FINAL WISHES
The My Final Wishes workbook is a resource for people to prepare for, record and communicate to their loved ones those things that are significant as they move toward their later years. This workshop will teach how to use the workbook so that you can log the needed information for your family for the future when you will transition to our eternal home. This is an amazing act of love to your family and friends. Don't expect your loved ones to know what you want and need—provide that information for them! This is a two-session workshop.
My Final Wishes | May 4 & 18 | 12:15–1:30 PM | Room D126
EQUIPPING INTENTIONAL GRANDPARENTS
Are you a grandparent, or will you be soon? This six-week, video-based class from Legacy Coalition provides teaching and discussion time to help us grow our skills to be the most effective grandparents possible.
As a follow-up to our recent Grandparenting Matters seminar, we will begin a series of ongoing six-week classes. This is the first in a series called Equipping Intentional Grandparents and will focus on Grandparenting Essentials.
The class is free, but you can purchase the optional workbook on Amazon for $9.

Senior Adults School Team
There is no better way to practically show the love of Christ than spending time with elementary school children, volunteering to read with them, and helping them in lessons in which they struggle!
We need seventy-five senior adults to register to serve in this ministry area. Who has an hour per week to bless these children?
