We are all for jesus

We are all for Jesus

Jesus saves us from our past, remakes us to be like him, heals our broken places, and is coming back as our king.

02

WE ARE EMPOWERED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT

WE ARE EMPOWERED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit within us enables us to live life beyond belief—a life filled with joy, purpose, and power. We live in a supernatural reality that includes yet transcends the physical universe.

03

WE ENCOUNTER THE FATHER DAILY

WE ENCOUNTER THE FATHER DAILY

God the Father speaks to us through the Bible and we commune with him through prayer.

04

WE DO LIFE TOGETHER

WE DO LIFE TOGETHER

“Community” is our middle name. Every person of every generation is wanted, needed, and known. And there’s always room for one more.

05

WE ARE CONTRIBUTORS, NOT CONSUMERS

WE ARE CONTRIBUTORS, NOT CONSUMERS

We do not attend church, we are the Church, and we exist in and for the world.

06

WE BRING THE BEST NEWS EVER TO THE LEAST-REACHED PEOPLE

WE BRING THE BEST NEWS EVER TO THE LEAST-REACHED PEOPLE

It is our privilege to take the gospel around the world. We focus on the hardest places in the world where all the odds are stacked against us.

07

WE ARE OUTRAGEOUSLY GENEROUS

WE ARE OUTRAGEOUSLY GENEROUS

We are most like God when we are generous. It’s all God’s anyway.

08

WE ARE ON MISSION TO REACH ONE MORE

WE ARE ON MISSION TO REACH ONE MORE

Every person matters to God, so every person matters to us. God invites every one of us to join him in his great mission to reach one more—one more coworker, neighbor, family member, and friend.

Statement of faith

CCC is a proud member of the Christian & Missionary Alliance. The Alliance is an Acts 1:8 family whose mission is to know Jesus Christ as Savior, Sanctifier, Healer, and Coming King and to complete His Great Commission.

02

The Holy Spirit

The Bible is the trustworthy and true communication from God.

04

FORGIVENESS OF SINS

The forgiveness of sins was purchased once and for all by Jesus’ death on the cross.

Vision & Discipleship

REach one More

Reach One More is an evangelistic initiative centered around our DNA value of reaching one more and advancing God’s Kingdom one life at a time. Together, we can reach one more friend, coworker, or family member. Together, we can reach one more neighbor living in our city and one more unreached person living in another nation.

LEadership

Meet the CCC Leadership Team

The CCC Governing Board of Elders is a team of men and women who provide leadership to the church. Learn more about the team and CCC’s Lead Minister Mark Ashton

Mark Ashton

LEad Minister

Mark Ashton is an ordinary guy who serves an extraordinary God. Originally from Glendale Heights, IL, Mark fully committed to follow Jesus at age 18 at the University of Illinois. He met his sweetheart Kelle on his second day of college and married her before graduation. They have four eclectic and phenomenal children: Caleb, Caysie, Josiah, and Haiven. Mark loves to play with his kids, watch sci-fi movies, bike for long distances, coach volleyball, golf poorly, barbecue, and paint. He is a proficient juggler who enjoys Portillo's Hot Dogs, Chipotle, and Giordano's Pizza.

Mark Ashton serves as the Lead Minister of Christ Community Church, a Christian and Missionary Alliance church in Omaha, Nebraska, with about 3,000 people in weekly attendance. Mark began at CCC on April 1, 2006, teaching in a multi-venue environment and providing leadership and direction to a staff of 50. His ministry experience includes serving as the Pastor of Spiritual Discovery at Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, IL, and as an Evangelism Specialist for InterVarsity Fellowship in Champaign, IL. Mark holds two Bachelor of Science degrees—in economics and in marketing—from the University of Illinois, and has completed graduate work at Lincoln Christian Seminary, Pillar Seminary, Grace University, and Crown College. Since he is also an ordained minister of the gospel, he likes to brag that his official title is: Rev. Mark Ashton, B.S., B.S., O.M.G.

Mark has spoken at universities, churches, and conferences all over the United States, helping students, professors, families, and professionals discover the powerful love and truth of Jesus. He has taught leaders and led mission trips in fifteen countries on six continents. The international project closest to his heart is the Hospital for Women and Children in West Africa, where over 20,000 babies have been safely born since it opened in 2006. Mark led the charge for CCC to raise over two million dollars to invest in the health of the fourth-poorest nation in the world in the form of women and children's care. In addition to ministries of compassion, Mark is considered a worldwide expert on subjects like introducing people to Jesus, helping churches to become outward-focused, and leading churches. His messages are downloaded over 100,000 times per year in 104 countries.
