Spring Retreat

It’s almost here! We’re getting ready for our Spring Retreat, coming up on March 16th and 17th. For the first time ever, the Spring Retreat is open to 6th graders as well as 7th and 8th graders, and we’re looking forward to having all the different grades in our Middle School Ministry here at CCC represented on this trip!

What’s Happening: We’re going local! Join us as we learn to see as God sees, serve our community in the name of Christ and dream about how God can work through each of us. It’ll be an experience like no other as we unpack Scripture, serve, and connect with each other.

Why We’re Excited:  In Acts chapter 1, before Jesus leaves his disciples to return to the Father, he tells them to be his witnesses in “Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” I once heard a message given about the “Jerusalems,” “Judeas,” and “Samarias” in our context today. Our “Jerusalem” is the city we live in, wherever that may be; for us, that’s right here in Omaha, Nebraska. This is the place we’re called to be missional in first, as we move outward to affect our neighboring cities, our country, and our world. There are so many needs to be met by the church right where we live, and we seek to align ourselves with Christ’s Great Commission and serve the city God has placed us in.
